Adulthood
I'd like to climb a tree today.
But I don't have the time.
And I'd like to ride my bike around without a care
But I have to work.
I'd like to color and draw and play
I'd like to do what I want to do
Even if it's nothing.
And I'd like to just lie in the grass
On a warm summer's day
Just staring at the clouds dancing before my eyes
But I've got too much to do
And there aren't enough hours in the day.
Because legally, I'm an adult now.
